THU THU Brahms and and Freud co-existed in Vienna, as psychoanalysis THU was being born. But they belong to two vastly different THU epochs: what can we learn by setting them side by side? THU THU Often at a loss for words, frequently gruff and spiky, THU Brahms was a man with complex personal traits. THU THU A question Freud once asked of us all might help us THU understand the hidden personality of Johannes Brahms: what THU is the sublimation of sexual desire, and how much THU unfulfilled libido can we bear? THU THU Writer Lesley Chamberlain takes us back to the Vienna of the THU 1890s, where Brahms was composing his late masterpieces and THU Freud was carrying out his groundbreaking early work. FRI FRI Following the occupation of Tibet in 1959 twenty elderly FRI Buddhist monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery fled into exile FRI by trekking across the Himalayas to India. Custodians of FRI religious traditions dating back over 500 years, the Monks FRI subsequently rebuilt their Monastery in the Tibetan FRI settlement of Bylakuppe in southern India. There are now FRI over 300 monks living at the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery which is FRI now an important centre for learning and for the FRI preservation of the culture and traditions of Tibetan FRI Buddhism. Seven of these Monks take time out from their FRI three-month concert tour of the UK to join us for an FRI exclusive live session. FRI FRI Playing music from their new album '17 Golden Greats' (a FRI greatest hits collection compiled from the five albums the FRI Monks have made over the last decade), they will be FRI performing Tibetan chants and mantras, and showing us some FRI of their Tantric Orchestra instruments.
